We successfully supplied and installed a new chiller system, complete with a dedicated chilled water circuit, to provide reliable and efficient cooling for a helium compressor operating in conjunction with a newly installed spectrometer. The system was designed to meet the precise cooling requirements of highly sensitive scientific equipment, ensuring consistent performance and operational stability.

Due to site constraints and limited access, the installation presented several logistical challenges. The chiller’s location required careful planning and coordination, with a crane lift necessary to position the unit safely and accurately into its final location.

In addition, all new mechanical plant components—including pumps, valves, and pressurisation equipment—were installed within a purpose-built external GRP enclosure.

The completed installation delivers a robust and efficient cooling solution that supports the critical operation of the spectrometer and associated equipment, demonstrating our ability to deliver complex mechanical installations in challenging environments.
